Victorian City Garden - Lincoln |
The brief for
this garden in Lincoln was to create a suitable
entrance for a fabulous Victorian house where
the client could occasionally sit and sing!
The Moorish shape of the gables on the house
was taken as a theme for the iron trellis,
used to clad an out of place 1970s garage.
Clematis and roses were planted to grow up
the trellis.
We chose typical Victorian plants - tree ferns
and exotic palms with a modern glass fountain
to give an exotic look, in scale with the
grandeur of the house.
A fantasy summer house for singing was also
planned. Materials used were red granite and
grey slate
