This garden
was built on what was previously an old 1970s
printing works
attached to a lovely 18c house. The factory
was demolished and left a great
space with high stone walls on two sides.
The Client brief was for a stylish place for
entertaining but also a proper garden with
lots of plants - and a downstairs Loo with
a potting shed!
The garden packs in all these features as
well as a rill with a pool, fruit trees. pleached
limes and climbers including wisteria, roses
and 20 types of clematis. Birds have started
to feed here and it is magical at night.
